The Knights of Columbus is the world's largest Catholic fraternal service organization, with more than 2.1 million members in nearly 17,000 Councils worldwide. The order is dedicated to promoting the principles of charity, unity, fraternity, and patriotism; its various programs enable Knights and their families to work together to aid their parish, the Church, the community, and one another. In 2024, Knights donated a record $197 million worldwide to charitable causes and provided 48 million hours of volunteer service.
The Knights also operate their own insurance company, benefiting its members and providing financial support to its many national and international philanthropic programs. In November 2015, the Knights of Columbus surpassed $100 billion of life insurance in force and enjoys the highest rankings from rating organizations A. M. Best and Standard & Poor's.
St. Andrew Council #11275 has a notable history of service and achievement since its founding in 1994. Council #11275 has been named one of the Ohio State Council's "Top Ten" from among the state's 380+ councils on five occasions (1994, 2009, 2011, 2013, and 2019) and has been recognized many times by its Supreme Council as a "Star Council" recipient, for outstanding achievement in recruitment and programming (1994, 2005, 2007, 2009 - 2013 and 2020).
Council #11275 has 168 members. Last year, we volunteered over 760 service hours and donated nearly $32,000 to charitable causes.
Council activities include providing Christmas food baskets to inner-city families, raising funds for developmentally disabled citizens, supporting religious vocations, and promoting Right-to-Life efforts. The Knights also support local, national, and international causes, including those impacted by the war in Ukraine. The Knights sponsor many events for the Parish community, such as pancake breakfasts, the parish's annual Christmas tree sale and Easter egg hunt, “EuchrePalooza” events, and many other service and social activities.
Any man 18 years or older and a practical Catholic is eligible for membership in the Knights - please consider joining us in faith, fellowship, and service! Meeting Schedule Membership meetings are held on the second Monday of the month at 7 p.m. in Kelly Hall of the Bryce Eck Activity Center. Immediately prior to the meeting, the Rosary is prayed at 6:30 p.m. Please join us for the rosary and meeting, and stay for food and fellowship immediately following!
