Parish Devotionals
Eucharistic Exposition & Adoration
The opportunity for Eucharistic Adoration is provided five days a week Monday through Friday because the Blessed Sacrament is always reserved in the Tabernacle of the main body of the Church. Furthermore, Eucharistic Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament is offered in the St. Andrew Chapel Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, & Friday mornings following the 6:30 a.m. Mass until 8:15 a.m. Exposition is ended after the praying of the Morning Prayer from the Liturgy of the Hours (see note below). On Tuesday’s from 9:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. which concludes with Solemn Benediction.
During the Lenten season, Solemn Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament will occur on Friday evenings from 7:00 p.m., until Benediction at 9:00 p.m., in the church. At 7:30 p.m. Stations of the Cross will be prayed and the opportunity for the Sacrament of Reconciliation will be made available.
The devotional practices of Eucharistic Adoration and Exposition of the Holy Eucharist offer the opportunity to the people of God for prayerful reflection on their call to a deeper devotion to the Holy Eucharist and a more faithful living of the Christian life. Prayer before the Blessed Sacrament provides an opportunity to become more aware of Christ’s presence with His people and invite all to a spiritual communion with Him. Participation is welcome at all times. We ask that you sign up for a time to be an adorer to make sure that our Lord is never left alone.
Liturgy of the Hours
The Liturgy of the Hours is prayer that is offered at regular intervals and in appointed places by local church communities. The fullness of divine worship is enhanced when worship overflows to reach all the hours of daily life. The Liturgy of the Hours is the official prayer that extends the graces of the Mass. It nourishes us spiritually between the times we attend Holy Mass. Morning Prayer is prayed Monday through Friday at 8:00 a.m. in the St. Andrew Chapel. For more information, contact the parish office, 451-4290.
Stations of the Cross
Stations of the Cross are prayed communally on Fridays during Lent at 7:30 p.m. in the church. "The Way of the Cross" prayer guides are provided for use during this devotional. Stained glass window depictions of the Stations of the Cross have been incorporated into the west wall of the church. These are enhanced with sunlight during the daytime and with exterior lighting during the evening.
