Parish Schools & Organizations St. Andrew Preschool Saint Andrew Preschool opened its doors, in the Bryce Eck Activity Center, for its inaugural year in September 2008. Saint Andrew Preschool serves as an introduction for the young child to the Saint Andrew School and St. Andrew Parish communities. The preschool staff strives to honor, celebrate and nurture the growth and learning of the child by offering various opportunities to use existing skills and to develop new ones. St. Andrew Preschool focuses on the development of the whole child. The integrated curriculum addresses the developmental stages and processes taking place within the heart, mind and body of the child. The academic, social, moral and creative needs of the child are supported while keeping in mind the teaching of Jesus, the Good Shepherd. Classes are offered for 3 and 4 year olds and Pre-kindergarten children. Morning classes meet from 9 to 11:30 a.m. and the afternoon class meets from 12:30 to 3 p.m. Preschool registration occurs each year on the second and third Sundays in January. SPICE: Special People in Catholic Education In 2012, St. Andrew will introduce this special funding program developed to address the wide variety of student learning needs within our parish learning community. This includes the needs of our typical, developmental and accelerated learners in our parish and school. SPICE supports teachers, catechists and staff at St. Andrew parish and school in the philosophy that every child is special, inherent in human dignity. SPICE serves as a means to raise funds and support the educational process and parish life in whatever area deemed necessary by our pastor, principal and director of religious education. SPICE encourages all students with special needs to live out their Catholic faith by affirming the dignity of being created in the image and likeness of God and redeemed by the saving power of Christ.
